Crew > Red Scream Vampyres - The Crew (11) > Seng Varipath - Producer, Director of Photography, Editor, VFX
Born on November 12, 1980 Seng moved from Asia(Thailand/Laos area) and came to America with his mom, dad, and younger brother. They lived in Ithaca, NY for a few years before moving to Lowell, MA where Seng currently resides until this very day. Growing up in Lowell was difficult due to all the gang violence and racism that was going on. In the midst of all that was an underground music scene though.
By his teenage years Seng began to get into the rap game and released several controversial songs in the underground. Eventually his passion for the rap game would fade away but his love for the Entertainment world would begin to grow. By his late teens Seng picked up a camcorder for the first time and began to visualize all the possibilities than could come from it. He started first with stop motion animation using Lego kits and an old Hi8 mm camcorder. The outcome shocked him and he knew right than and there that his dream was not only possible but it was destined to come true.
In the winter of 2K5 Seng began shooting a series of horror themed movie shorts called "The Parallel." It was with these no budget shorts that he began to receive attention and S.E.Entertainment would be born. A year later Seng decided to get into music videos(with his past in the underground rap scene he felt he could now offer something to everyone else who was doing what he had done several years ago.)
In March, Seng would team up with Dramatik from WOLVES Entertainment. Dramatik was the first true underground hip hop celebrity Seng new of and was the first person to truly believe in Seng and his Entourage. A couple weeks later a video called "Street Life Pt.2" would be released and that is the moment everything changed. It became an instant underground favorite and would receive several thousand views and establish S.E.Entertainment as the new kings of the underground video (well at least in Massachusetts.) That summer Seng created his own internet tv show called S.E.tv(aka MySpace TV) he would team up with Nick Dz who he had met years earlier at Blockbuster. The episodic internet tv show would garner attention from all over and it is here that S.E.E. would begin networking with several companies including ScreamKings Productions and SureFire Music Group, who they still work with on projects with to this very day.
In the Fall of 2K6 S.E.Entertainment decided to get back into the movie scene and decided to do a fan film called "Resident Evil: the secret diary" It starred Nick Dz, Dramatik, Kali, Maureen "Moe" Crocker, and Brandy. It was released that October and once again the underground scene was moved. Even though the movie was rushed and full of flaws it showcased their raw talent and was the first RE fan film to be any good.
In 2K7 Red Scream Films would approach S.E.Entertainment for a collaboration on a full length feature. This project would be called Red Scream Vampyres and what would start out as a small project would grow into what some are calling, "the Most Anticipated Horror Movie of the Year." Shooting in the new ProHD format and starring Satu with music and sound design from SureFire Music Group this indie film will do something amazing when people finally get to see it. This is only the beginning for Seng, S.E.Entertainment, and a whole newbreed of filmmakers destined to change the industry.
